Health Care Reform

ACA Logo

General

On March 23, 2010, then President Obama signed the Affordable Care Act. The law puts in place comprehensive health insurance reforms that will roll out over the next four years and beyond.  This law puts consumers back in charge of their health care. Under the law, a new “Patient’s Bill of Rights” gives the American people the stability and flexibility they need to make informed choices about their health.  The key features focus on Coverage, Cost, and Care.  The law makes preventive care more accessible and affordable for many Americans while ensuring that the cost is affordable and care is guaranteed.

The links below will allow you to keep up to speed with the changes that are involved with this federal law.

  • Ends Arbitrary Withdrawals of Insurance Coverage: Insurers can no longer cancel your coverage just because you made an honest mistake.

Costs
